One of the biggest problems in running an online business, is the amount of sabotage you face. They are not direct, they hide behind the anonymity of the internet, spy on you and try to sabotage your online business in a number of ways.
One of their favored method to trouble you is by hacking your PC / internet connection and auto downloading a virus on to your PC. About a year ago, I would get up early in the morning and start work at a fixed time. I would login to a few forums. Once these sly people realized that I had logged in, they would hack the internet connection and download the virus on to the PC. This happened many times, after which I decided that I would never log in to the forums.
If I connect to the internet for a long time, I can be assured that my computer will be infected by some virus, spyware or malware. So the best way to be safe is to connect to the internet only when really needed and disconnect the cable otherwise.
